Midland Civic Arena… Speed Skating

Host of multiple national, regional, state and local events in hockey, figure skating and speed skating.

The MCA is a GREAT place to speed skate. We offer a clean, top notch facility with an Olympic sheet of ice. We have fast ice, and the records and compliments to prove it!

The MCA has been host to multiple invitational events, such as the annual Midland Winter Blast regional competition, a North American Championship, two American Cups, a U.S. Jr. National competition, and the 2009 Dow U.S. National Age Class Short Track Speedskating Championships and American Cup Final.

The Midland Speed Skating Club is the largest club in the Michigan Skating Association (MSA), and MSA is the third largest association in U.S. Speed Skating. Some of Midland's club members have gone on to compete internationally with the U.S. Olympic and World Cup teams.
