Midland Civic Arena… Our Facility

Host of multiple national, regional, state and local events in hockey, figure skating and speed skating.

Rinks – The MCA features three skating rinks, two NHL and one Olympic sized. All three are heated for spectator comfort, with the showcase rink having room for about 1,000 spectators including the mezzanine viewing area. Each of the 18 locker rooms have their own individual bathroom and shower area.

Pro Shop – The MCA Pro Shop is your one-stop skating shop. We offer a variety of equipment in all types and sizes, and carry major name brands like Nike, Bauer, Easton, Graf and Tackla. We have a wide variety of one-piece graphite sticks to choose from. We also have a wide selection for figure skatiers including tights, dresses, Zuca bags, skating accessories and more. Skate Rental – Skate rental is just $3/pair per session. We carry over 200 pair of both figure and hockey skates, and have a wide range of sizes from as small as a youth 5 to an adult 14. Proper fitting is key in ice skating, so keep these tips in mind when renting skates: Hockey skates are men’s sized and will be about one size smaller than a man’s shoe size, or about three sizes smaller than a women’s shoe size. Figure skates are women’s size and run true to their shoe size, while a man will need a bigger size.

Concession –The arena’s concession area has it all, offering a wide variety of food and beverages, with the ability to provide for large crowds and parties. From pizza to cheeseburgers, popcorn to hot pretzels, nachos to ice cream, their food selection is unbeatable. When thirsty, enjoy both bottled and fountain Coke products, cappuccino, coffee, hot chocolate, energy drinks and slurpees.

Conference Rooms (RENTABLE) – Two conference rooms with occupancy of 70 each are available for rent. With a retracting wall, the two rooms can become one large room. Each room can be arranged in either party or classroom layout. We can host your conferences, meetings, parties, banquets, and other social events. The arena is equipped with wireless internet and has a portable television with a DVD player available to meet your needs.

Arcade – We offer a large video arcade featuring the latest video and interactive games for all ages.

Midland County Sports Hall of Fame – The MCA is home to the Midland County Sports Hall of Fame, which displays inductee plaques, pictures, and memorabilia from some of the most notable sports contributors in the Great Lakes Bay Region.
